The Toyota Yaris Cross is a subcompact crossover SUV delivered by the Japanese automaker Toyota, using the Yaris nameplate fundamentally for Japanese and European market.
It is based on GA-B platform as the XP210 series Yaris and positioned between the Raize and C-HR in Toyota’s crossover SUV arrangement. It replaces the Japanese/European market Ist/Urban Cruiser. The design of the Yaris Cross is a joint effort between Toyota’s European and Japanese studios.
The Toyota Yaris Cross painted in its correspondence shading ‘Brass Gold’ was spotted unexpectedly as of late, in Japan. The all-new B-SUV is still a couple of months from its launch.
The Toyota Yaris Cross is the SUV option in contrast to the fourth-generation Toyota Yaris sub-minimal hatchback (for created markets) that appeared in October last year. The new sub-conservative SUV is bigger than the Toyota Raize. It measures 4,180 mm long, 1,765 mm in width and 1,560 mm tallness. It has a 2,560 mm wheelbase. The Toyota Raize is 3,995 mm long, 1,695 mm wide and 1,620 mm wide. It has a 2,525 mm wheelbase.
Like the Toyota Raize, the Toyota Yaris Cross has a legitimate SUV design with an upstanding stance and ordinary proportions. While the smaller SUV rides on the generally minimal effort DNGA platform, the bigger SUV sits on the further developed TNGA platform, specifically the GA-B version. The Toyota Raize employs the 1KR-VET turbo petrol engine (98 PS/140 Nm) with a D-CVT as standard. The Toyota Yaris Cross will be accessible in petrol and hybrid variants, with the previous fitted with either a 6-speed MT or a D-CVT and the last fitted with an e-CVT as standard.
Some of the fundamental features of the Toyota Yaris Cross are LED headlights, 18-inch composite wheels, LED rear lights, 10-inch shading HUD and 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and satellite route.
Toyota Motor East Japan and Toyota Motor Manufacturing France will fabricate the Toyota Yaris Cross at their factories in Iwate, Japan and Onnaing, France respectively. The Japanese launch will happen in fall this year, while the European launch is scheduled to occur in 2021. Sadly, neither the Toyota Yaris Cross nor the Toyota Raize is wanted to be launched in India.
